Already renowned as a wine of incredible concentration, and drawn from a vintage where high temperatures gave particularly intense fruit and acid profiles, this is a showcase of texture, tannin and tart fruit characters: redcurrant, capsicum and medium-plus plum-skin acidity show well against fine chalky tannin, hints of eucalypt and a slight smokiness. Still youthful, it’ll stand up to any food you care to pair it with or reward a longer stint in the cellar.
