Howard Park Miamup Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

Howard Park Miamup Cabernet Sauvignon 2023

A picture-perfect vintage has produced one of the best cabernets under this label yet. Bold statement of blackcurrant and lifted blackberry on the nose with a trace of bay leaf and dried herb character. Beautifully seductive and smoothly textured palate with the structure and definition that is cabernet, giving it purpose. A wine like this selling for just $30 is crazy. Ray Jordan Winepilot - 95 points

Very deep, bright, youthful purple-red colour. Good depth of blackberry aromas, fresh and ripe and varietally true. The wine is medium-full bodied and rich with pleasing powdery tannins and smart cabernet structure, the finish ploughing long and satisfying. Lively and balanced, and has cellaring potential. Really keen value at the price. Huon Hooke The Real Review - 91 points

Lightness on feet thanks to oak that doesn’t overpower, and bright, vibrant acidity that shimmies through the tannins and fruit weight. Nota dense Cabernet, rather mid-weight and easy to drink now. While there’s plenty of bright and juicy fruit, this is Cabernet in a savoury key. Salt dust, juicy red and purple fruited, graphite, black olive pop and a bresaola, cured meat note. Lovely long line, a wine of surprising finesse for under $30. Cassandra Charlick Winepilot - 92 points
