Jim Barry Watervale Riesling 2025

Jim Barry Watervale Riesling 2025

Located fifteen kilometres south of Clare township, the tiny village of Watervale is nestled in South Australia’s Clare Valley and is internationally renowned for the quality of its Rieslings.

A consistently awarded wine since its first release in 1974, our Watervale Riesling is picked from select parcels of vines that achieve ripeness with naturally high acid levels.

"This is a world class riesling at a better-than-fair price. Indeed this wine is so good and so reasonably priced on such a regular basis that it was described on The Winefront site as “a national treasure”. It was also described there as “frisky and delicious”. It’s a dry riesling with a distinct juiciness to the lemon-and-lime fruit flavour and edges of lemongrass and steel. Basically it’s Clare Valley riesling on a platter and would be the perfect go-to refreshing white wine for this coming summer."  Campbell Mattinson. campbellmattinson.com.
