Mesh Eden Valley Riesling Classic Release 2017

Mesh Eden Valley Riesling Classic Release 2017

Mesh Eden Valley Riesling Classic Release 2017

Two of Australia's greatest  have come together!   Robert Hill-Smith (Yalumba) has joined forces with Clare winemaker extraordinaire, Jeffrey Grosset, to create this outstanding Eden Valley Riesling.

A museum release after years of cellaring. What a treat.

"If you need further prodding that riesling is worthy of a place in your cellar, you can always procure a museum release wine such as this stunning [vintage] from mesh to seal the deal. That initial limey parry-and-thrust focus and velocity has subdued somewhat. The wine takes on notes of oatmeal, beeswax, dried honey and perhaps some soft spice notes that mesh beautifully (see what I did there?) with the existing lime, lemon, grapefruit and blossom characters inherent in the wine. Dry and savoury, with great carry on the finish. We should all be drinking more aged riesling."  Rating: 95 Points.  Dave Brookes.  Halliday Wine Companion.
