Tim Smith Bugalugs Blanc 2025
A textural blend of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne. Don’t think too much about the individual varieties though, think Friday night and a crisp white. Unashamedly influenced by my love of the Rhone Valley. This year’s release shows great lifted aromatics of nashi pear, spice and a lovely textural palate. Pairs well with friends, food and the weekend.
"A blend of Grenache Blanc, Marsanne and Roussanne. Nashi pear, custard apple, waxed lemon rind, jasmine and dried chamomile. You live or die by how you handle phenolics in a wine like this, and Smith is a master. There’s a firm phenolic grip, but it’s the kind that guides not strangles. Serious white wine with beautiful texture, deft balance and drinkability." 96 points - Nick Ryan - The Weekend Australian Magazine
