Xanadu Margaret River Circa 77 Chardonnay 2024
Xanadu is a winery at the top of its game. Alongside Halliday Winemaker of the Year accolade, Xanadu was also shortlisted for Best Value Winery of the Year and again, awarded a 5 Red Star Winery rating. This is their entry level Chardonnay, but please don't be turned away by the price. Rather, read the reviews below and you'll understand why we're making a such a fuss.
"It’s pretty remarkable that you can get a Chardonnay of this quality and complexity for around $20. A combination of quite high solids, adding texture, barrel fermentation in largely older oak, and wild fermentation has produced a wine that offers plenty of appeal. It’s slightly toasty and savoury, but with a bright and lively citrus tang cutting to the finish. Excellent wine for current drinking." Ray Jordan
